Many come to this area to experience the fantastic nature, with hiking and biking trails for great walks and bike rides in the summer, and miles of skiing in the winter.

A popular destination is the beautiful Lake Seljordsvatnet with the famous sea serpent, where you can try your luck with a fishing card. Along the lake, there are also fantastic swimming opportunities.

Every year in September, "Dyrsku'n" is held in Seljord. This is Norway's largest trade and agricultural fair, with over 90,000 visitors

If you're on vacation in Seljord, you should take a day trip with the canal boats on the Telemark Canal
