In the southern part of Telemark lies the 'Pearl among the coastal towns,' Kragerø, with narrow alleys and streets with well-preserved wooden buildings, small shops, and a fantastic archipelago. It was here Edvard Munch was inspired by the unique coastal light, and he painted many of his most significant works in Kragerø.

Bring your bike to Jomfruland and Skåtøy, where the landscape is flat and easy to cycle through. If it gets warm in the sun, you can stop and swim almost anywhere. Cozy cafes, specialty shops, bars, and restaurants are lined up in the streets and harbour area of Kragerø, and throughout the summer, well-known national and international artists hold concerts in the area.
