Linje 6300 Åndalsnes–Venjedalssetra

The Romsdalseggen bus drives during hiking season, from June to September. Tickets from 1. July are open for sale, but the bus starts as soon as the snow is gone from the top and the hike is walkable.

Romsdalseggen is one of the world's most beautiful mountain hikes. The walk over Romsdalseggen starts at Venjedalssetra and ends in Åndalsnes after having crossed the ridge. The most conveniant way to start the hike is taking the Romsdalseggen bus from Åndalsnes to Venjedalssetra.

By catching the bus, the trip starts and ends in Åndalsnes. The Romsdalseggen bus has daily departures from mid-June/early July to end of September.

The bus has 8 departures each day at the most, varying by the season. You will find all departures by making a search in the journey planner at the top of the page. If the demand is high, the capacity will be increased. By making you booking early, you will help us offer the capacity needed.

Circular route to overnight accommodation

The Romsdalseggen bus is part of a circular route that both collects you at and brings you back to accommodation in the Åndalsnes area. There is also a departure from the bus station in Åndalsnes sentrum (skysstasjonen - hub for train, bus and gondola).

The bus ride from centre of Åndalsnes to Venjedalssetra takes approximately 20 minutes.

By catching the bus to the start of your walk, you will save both time, money and the impace on nature. Over the 2021 season, most departures will be served by electrical buses. A part of the profit goes to maintenance of the path over Romsdalseggen.

Welcome onboard to a green trip!
